Yesterday was a good day on the mountain. The pharmacy dispensed medicines to 90 people, which means that the medical clinic saw that number. The dental clinic has begun doing restorative work. The education team went up to the school to teach Godly play. Sheri told the story of the good shepherd. All reports are that even the older children were interested.

For supper, five of us went to the pizza restaurant, where we shared a couple of big pizzas and some pasta. We saw an interesting adaptation of the Mona Lisa and a handbag that bore a striking resemblance to Darth Vader.

Today was our play day. We went to the Honduyate resort about 45 minutes north of Siguatepeque. I did what I promised to do: just about nothing. I sat in a lovely, cool room most of the day. The lake is still beautiful (I use a photo taken there as the profile picture for my Helping Honduras Facebook page). At lunch we had a presentation by two people from FUNED, the agency that administers micro finance funds donated by the church.

Meanwhile, Bess went with a large group to Pulhapansak Falls, farther to the north. She enjoyed the zip line again this year and said it was just as good as the first time. They came to Honduyate for lunch, and spent the afternoon with us. Before leaving, we split into two groups: shoppers and non-shoppers. We non-shoppers returned straight to the hotel. The shoppers headed to a roadside shopping stand on the Tegucigalpa side of Siguatepeque. They have not yet returned, so I’m guessing that the shopping is good.

Good news on the water well project. It looks as if drilling will be successful and that we will provide good water for the church and school at San Juan here in Siguatepeque.

Tomorrow we return to La Laguna for another full day of work. I expect that the clinics will have long lines of people waiting for us.

This team is such a good group. Working with them is a joy.
