Our luggage is on its way to the hacienda. We hope it will be waiting for us in our room, especially the “green monster,” the duffle I used because I brought Montessori materials for the director of the language school.

We have a couple of hours to kill between checking out of one hotel and into the hacienda, which is on the other side of the river and overlooks the ruins. So we’re having lunch at Twisted Tanya’s (¡qué sorpresa!)–tilapia for me, with REAL chips (remember, Tanya is a Brit).

We hope to walk to a Maya Chortí village this afternoon. We know that dinner at Hacienda San Lucas will be amazing.

Once we leave Twisted, there will be no more Internet access until tomorrow, at the earliest, so wish us a safe drive tomorrow to Siguatepeque.

We are looking forward to seeing the rest of the team, especially Bessita.
