Helping Honduras …

Preparation, preparation, preparation

I spent much of today at the church, trying to get ready for tomorrow’s pill counting. With help from friends Larry Tate, Melinda Draper, Dusty Matthews and Melanie Brown, much was accomplished: 500+ baggies labeled, more than 1440 albendazole tablets liberated from foil packaging, baskets and jugs and funnels washed. Snacks for volunteers purchased (and taste tested).

So now I am hoping and praying that my scheme for weighing vitamins with kitchen scales will work. That we will have enough volunteers so that the counting will be finished by noon. That everything will be labeled correctly. That we essentially will be able to pack the pharmacy bags tomorrow.

I will rest so much better when this is done. Maybe I’ll even find time to study some Spanish vocabulary.

It appears that my iPad is on GMT. I posted this at 10:24 pm, not 3:24 am!
